A graduate of The Juilliard School, Elizabeth Bacher is an award winning violinist and pianist who has performed on some of the most prominent concert stages of the world. She began her musical studies at the age of 3 with the violin and 6 with the piano, and had performed piano on television and as a violin concerto soloist by the age of 8. She has performed at the Royal Concertgebouw, Salle Gaveau, Academia di Santa Cecilia, Carnegie Hall, Benaroya Hall and the Konzerthaus in Berlin as well as locally to Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater. Growing up on the East Coast she attended New England Conservatory and Longy School of Music preparatory divisions, moving to London to attend The Purcell School with private lessons at the Royal Academy of Music. Following her graduate studies at The Juilliard School she was a fellow of the New World Symphony, and was the recipient of a German Academic Exchange study grant, also performing a full quartet recital at the German Consulate in New York. Elizabeth performed a full solo violin and piano recital at Carnegie Hall, including the premiere of a piece written for her by Dan Tepfer, featuring violin and piano played simultaneously by one person.

In Los Angeles Elizabeth collaborates with artists of different genres and enjoys the prolific mix of media in art. She played for the wedding of George Lucas and Melody Hobson at Skywalker Ranch, and her solos can be heard in the films Inheritance, Poppies, and Viva Verdi! among others. Elizabeth is passionate about normalizing quality music education for all demographics and ages and supports organizations providing lessons and instruments to children in underserved communities. She is currently working on a photo documentary series on music education.

She currently performs both classical and modern popular music.

Beginning violin at the age of 3 and piano at the age of 6, Elizabeth had performed on television and as a concerto soloist by the age of 8. Since then she has performed at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Academia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Carnegie Hall in New York, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Concertgebouw di Vereeniging in Nijmegen, and the Konzerthaus in Berlin. She has also been featured on radio shows as a violinist and pianist, awarded the German Academic Exchange study grant in 2008. While in New York City, she performed a full solo violin and piano recital in Carnegie Hall including the premiere of Dan Tepfer’s Solo Blues, written to be played live as violin and piano by one person.

Now based in Los Angeles, Elizabeth enjoys collaborating with other artists, finding herself in a variety of settings live and on film. She performs nationally in the corporate electric violin trio The String Angels and the Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra. She has performed with Sarah Brightman at the Dolby Theatre and contracted Final Fantasy: A New World at Zipper Hall, also playing at the wedding of George Lucas and Melody Hobson at Skywalker Ranch. Her violin solos can be heard in the films Inheritance, Poppies, and most recently the documentary Viva Verdi!, currently in post production.
